If a particle performs a random walk on a finite lattice, how long does it last until it reaches the boundary? This is a well studied problem if there is only one particle, but much more complicated if there are many particles which cannot occupy the same space. This talk will discuss the effects of particle crowding, and present a formula for the mean number of steps to reach the boundary.
